Ok I admit it, it was me who posted it previously and e mailed him:D
I told him I was disgusted that Tesco were trying to take advantage of the fact that these items are in very short supply and the fact that parents are wanting to please their kids on christmas morning by buying them the latest "must have" toy.

:hello:Hi Maximouse, I hope you haven't spent all day looking for those pesky hamsters ;)

Ha, ha, no, I did a little trawl through the usual suspect sites just to see if there was anything exciting I could report to the forum today, but as you'll have seen it wasn't much at all and Victory had already posted what she had found online as well. Have been refreshing toysrus regularly just in case because they listed so much stuff yesterday and I thought they may do it again so I didn't want anyone to miss out, but I haven't noticed any new in stock items on there all day (may be they don't update their site on weekends?) They obviously have stock of the houses, beds, carriers, and add ons (wheel, slide, car - for those of you who might not know) though and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't list them again by drip feeding them throughout the day (may be Monday might be worth keep looking on there - but I'm at work most of the day and won't be able to access the internet much so I won't be able to do any updates for you all - sorry).

I've emailed argos because I think it is terrible that people are allowed to do this:

Reason for enquiry (header) - General
Reason for enquiry (specific) - Other
Comments - I would just like to report to you that there are people on ebay SELLING your reservation codes for go go hamster products. For example, one of the item numbers is 250526658046 for one particular seller who is selling the codes at 3 of your stores for 4.99!!! Surely something needs to be done about this as firstly he is selling something that he has no intention of using himself (i.e. he is not going to use the reservation number to buy the product) and he is preventing others who are desperately trying to get a hold of your stock, in store, from reserving items that they intend to pay for. On behalf of all people trying to get a hold of these items, and of course from a moral perspective as well, I appeal to you to do something about this. Thank you.

I think it is unethical, but what can Argos actually do except abandon reservations?? We wouldn't like that option.

You may say limit reservations to <x> for each email address, but different email addresses are very easy to come by.

At the end of the day, if the eBayer doesn't use the reservation then the item comes back into stock for a genuine buyer.

Ignore those eBayers is what I say and they end up realising that they are wasting their time and move on.

I would think it would depend on the SA really. It's worth trying anyway, otherwiswe stick it on ebay;)
I had to return my hamster when i returned my house (as my mum managed to pick it up as its her present to my little girl). I was told i could have my refund, but because the hamster was part of the deal, i had to return it or they had to deduct the difference from my refund! I obviously didnt get a nice SA... typical lol

i went to tesco yesterday and they had the ball, surfboard and skateboard on 3 for 2 but were priced up at £19.97, so i took them over to customer services and complained that they were double the price then any where else and asked them if they would ring head office to check if it was priced incorrectly. they couldn't get through so i brought all three and when i went home i phoned up head office myself and a lady checked with a supervisor for me and said they they would be changing the price to £9.97 today. so this morning i have took them back and brought all 3 again for £19.94. So everyone who paid £19.97 each for the playsets take them back and buy them again.
Right, i'm there at 10am tomorrow getting my tenner difference back! I know a few people on here complained to head office & emailed watchdog (me included) so it looks like they have taken notice at last!
  • Visited Toys R Us, St Georges Retail Park, Leicester today and they had lots of carriers and beds in all colours and a few Chunk hamsters.

Thats me completed the whole set now, time for a galss of wine and chill out!

Thanks to everyone who has posted stock updates on here I couldn't have done it without you all :T

Think I might have to buy myself a hamster as a reminder of this experience. How on earth will I cope once the last few bits and pieces are wrapped up and I won't have any noses to press anymore!

I think it will have to be 'Chunk' because he always seems to be the only one left in those cold and draughty internet site warehouses and he'll be lonely...I wonder if he'd like a house, noooooooooooooooooooo Maximouse stop thinking about any more stuff!!! You see, I'm going mad now...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hello,

Just to let you know Argos in Havehill !!! has over 5 cars available :j(apparently) well they did 30 mins ago!

Help is need, I am eating, breathing and sleeping these cute little hamsters lately (not literately) Now that would be awful :D.

Obsessed is not the word - but to quote U2 "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" :o ( I am not that sad - really)

I keep looking - and not sure if I should give in to the ebay prices - I then start to panic that it will be my last chance and if I don't now they will be twice as much in 4 weeks time
    .

    Do I??, Don't I

My Hubby is not too impressed either as I cannot stop myself from searching - and I know I won't until I have found it all
    :rotfl:
