No one will be banned for an occasional extra refresh .. as I know that it doesn't always load when e.g. the stock page is blank when first being emptied to be rebuilt with the latest stock position.

It is a powerful server, but seems like many are not content with a 60 second refresh (go elsewhere if you think you will get better) and foolishly and selfishly hit refresh, possibly hoping to grab a to-the-second stock position and putting unnecessary extra load on the server. They are wasting their time as the stock 'only':rotfl: updates every minute.

Traffic does spike when stock is spotted .. it is as people are sitting on my site watching for any more items being added and F5ing mine, when really they would be better heading over to the merchant site and checking directly at that point.

If 60 second updates aren't appreciated by some people, then that's fine, but I have no intention of providing a 5-10 second update service (I would be banned by the retailers myself) and the alternative will be to see how they feel about things when forced to go elsewhere and make do with 10 minute updates ... by the time they see stock, it will be sold out :T.

I don't want to ban anyone as they may just be as desparate as the next person, but play by the rules and the server should cope just fine as it is at this minute and no one gets the naughty step.

Ok whats the deal logos on their backs, I have a delivery arrived for a friend and the logo is the smaller one. Earlier hammies had the big logo on their backs? I'm gonna have to check now that our 4 all match cos that will annoy me I'm a bit obsessive with things like that! :rotfl:

thats good to know thanks i only refresh when it goes blank occasionally, but a great website nonetheless! :j

Was working great for me but last night it went blank everytime it updated, I closed the page because I didn't want to get banned but if I didn't f5 every time it refreshed I couldn't see anything!
