I doubt that it is 50 hamsters,

but Cepia have announced pland to have chipmunk, rabbit, hedgehog and squirrel ranges in the future, so suspect that 50 includes those 'new' toys.

oooohhhhh how cute a little chipmunk scurrying about! :) I can feel a slight twinge in my head now....too much info :)
  • I've gone from no hamsters to 3 Chunks!:rotfl:

No I didn't get any despatch email either, just one to say about my order.

Everyone here has been so helpful so I wanted to try to help someone in return. I have a reservation code for 1 hamster (hasn't specified which one it is) for collection by tomorrow evening in ARGOS, Royal Avenue, Belfast. PLease PM me if you want the code.

Thanks. I'm only looking for the play accessories now. Not vital but it'd be a nice bonus if I did come across any. Are the accessories that are turning up in dribs and drabs in places like Asda living ones that have just been dispatched via Character or ones that stores have had for a while and only just put out on the shelves?

Funhouses and playsets (NOT Addons) arrived last week and will have been pushed out. It is a slim possibility that Retailers set an order date for later and Character are holding stock shipping to fulfil those orders, but I would have thought that the retailers would have them rushed in wherever possible.

More likely that it is slow distribution within the retailers .. it may be a case of they only send out what can fit in the van .. I doubt that they will displace all the other toys to push a big shipment into a store for a single days sales and have nothing else left to sell until the next van come in .. lol.

Re: the hamsters, out of interest does that mean that Argos could only have got these 10,000 hamsters through Character, rather than flying them in themselves?

I believe that will be case as I also believe that anyone who retails in the UK must source through Character. I think I have an email to that effect somewhere from when I was trying to find other potential stockists.

I've just had Yorkshire Toys on the phone in response to an e-mail I sent using their contact us button.

I've managed to get a skateboard thingy and a slide thingy.

She said that they had skateboards, surf boards, houses and slides in short supply.

It might be worth phoning them up if you're looking for them.

I paid around £18.99 for each I think... I got so excited I wasn't really listening save to note it all cost - including postage - around £44.
