Ok, everyone has to start somewhere don't worry. MSE does not allow members to swap personal details, which you would have to do to exchange or buy/sell between another member. Its for our own safety as an example you may post on several threads here, maybe a nice spanking new tv you got for £1000 but was worth a lot more, a few other nice presents for the family, then you might post that you are going on holiday for two weeks in a few days. Although we are all parents in the same situation looking for hamsters you have to be wary that not all people on the internet are genuine, some may reel you in and get your address and then something awful might happen. This is how MSE would view the safety aspect. It has been known members have given money to other members and never received what they hoped to get and lost their money as there is no protection from trading here.

The place people refer to that is not allowed to be spoken about is an ebay group set up for the purpose of people who want to trade within the safety of ebay, a member here set it up, but it is against the MSE forum rules to give links to the forum, if you read back a few pages you can locate the member and PM them for the ebay group details.

We're in Okehampton but dh was visiting friends in Hatherleigh so he wasn't too thrilled at being made to drive home and then to Exeter! lol Thanks for the tip on Tesco, will keep an eye out
