Tell them it's a legally binding transaction and ask WHY they won't now honour it...!

To all of you who are having Ebay sellers cancelling on you - if they send ask you to do a mutual cancellation of sale don't agree to it. That way they won't be able to get their fees back. Also report them as non-performing sellers then Neg them . Remember - they can't neg you back and if they leave what is called a false positive feedback you can have that removed by Ebay. Sorry if someone has already said all this but I haven't been on all day and couldn't read through all those pages!!
  • Sorry but I don't know. The stock was already on the shelf when I got there at 5.30 so had either been put out last night or during today. We didn't have any other items on tonights delivery (we have a Saturday delivery but not all stores do). I was quite surprised to see it there and even more suprised that as the shop shut at six no one had purchased any of it so it will be there in the morning. Evening staff are not really told anything about deliverys, the cages just get wheeled to the shop floor and we put the stuff out so if I happen to be on the toys section I see the stock as I'm putting it out.

Which shop ? I am Northamptonshire!!!!
  • I am bidding on this I think so don't bump it up!! lol

Did you get it, did you get it, hope so!
  • I was told by my local wilkos that they have deliveries everyday but have no idea whats on it so I will just have to ring every morning to see if they have what I want!

Wilkinsons. Hope you get something tomorrow!!

Why else do you sell on ebay???
I only do it to make some money, if not I would just give it away!!!!!!

C'mon, you know that's not what that poster meant! Buying things up because they are a hot toy and then being greedy, is not the same as selling things on that you no longer need, or want!

You know what I am loving this. I really hope you guys in here get some Hammie bargains. I have hung up my searching boots although a spiral slide wouldn't go amiss and someone from work wants a hamster.:D:D Ebay is always a bit of a gamble but to not honour sale prices in awful. My daughters bed was collected today, sold on ebay but only went at half what we hoped but thats the name of the game.
Good luck MSE hammie hunters, hope ebay stays down a bit longer! I'm off to check out the Mini Boden stuff!!!

Can Ebay class it as an outage when people were still bidding and winning (albeit from a mobile)?

It's not about people selling to make money. It's about greedy people clearing shop shelves of all the hamsters and accessories and going to the till with shed loads of toys that deny other parents the chance to buy them at rrp.

Are you aware that if you buy to sell then you should be a business seller not a private seller on ebay and can be reported as such?

No one minds if you had a spare and sold it on ebay but to deliberately target shops and online and buy up as much stock as you can to sell at vastly inflated prices is just plain greedy and in my book dear, simply not cricket.
Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.
