  • SMYTHS have hamsters in stock - according to their stock checker a number of their stores have them in stock incuding the one by me in Walsall and its open till 8 but wont let you reserve or buy online! cant get there till mornig though fingers crossed!!

don't count on this, my smyths in castlevale said this the other day but when I got there they had nothing and hadn't had for a couple of days...when I asked about more stock she said next week!
  • I dunno about n. ireland but its showing stock in london-charlton, london -mitcham, salisbury, thanet, walsall, birmingham - castlevale and cardiff, no houses in any of the smyths stores though
I spent last year hunting for a battery operated hamster! I wonder what elusive gift this christmas will bring

Just heard from Carol, that's it for tonight. She's off for a large glass of vino and to drool over Anton du Beck on Strictly Come Dancing :rotfl:. She has loads of elves in her workshop tomorrow to get over 400 orders out to Santa Claus...phew!!!

There is one more batch of houses being listed probably tomorrow night. I have suggested a later listing time to give those parents who have to bath their kids and put them to bed a chance. Approximate time unknown at the minute, but I should know tomorrow evening and will post accordingly. Apparently the trouble is that the houses clog up their packing dept so Carol handles them separately to her normal orders so normal customers aren't delayed. Any houses put on tomorrow won't be dispatched until Wednesday/Thursday for Thursday/Friday delivery. They are keen to get them out as they have some big deliveries (other toys) in this week.

I'm pleased for those who got their houses tonight, its great to see so many happy hamster hunters, ha, ha. I think we've got to say a huge thank you to Carol and Hooray, they are the ones that managed to secure the stock, to restrict the items being able to be ordered to give as many parents as possible the chance to get the house they needed, and of course BIG RESPECT to their IT guy - we've managed to crash just about every other site recently, even from many of the huge retailers, and Hooray managed to keep theirs online (I wonder if he's good looking and single...). :T :T :T

That's fine for me, I won't be buying all the accessories, we're skint and my children won't expect the whole lot anyhow.

My boy only wants a slide and a hammy - he has already said his hammy can sleep in the rabbit house (it's a cuddly 'my first pet' thing, not the real rabbit house outside).

I can't decide - he really won't want patches, I know that makes him sound like a spoiled brat. I can't afford squiggles at ebay prices though, and I don't think patch would sell for enough to buy squiggles.

Why dont you join tthe ebay group and see if someone will swap you a mr squiggles for patch;)

why dont you just say you are an ebayer !!

I don't think throwing around accusation is helpful. As it happens, I've been wondering the same thing about prices on ebay, but out of idle curiosity, nothing else.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
  • Hi Jellyhead

Have you paid for this item yet then?
If notm just write a message saying you are having problems paying by paypal. I did this when I accidentally won a numnums for 25 pounds then thought better of it!!! The lady said it was paypal or nothing as she can relist it straight away, so I said just relist it then.

Or another hamster I won, I ignored payment for a week and they just cancelled transaction as they wanted to relist it again asap.

This makes me sound like a really bad ebayer but I have 100% feedback and am never rude to any messages. Just honest.

It does sound like a lot of money to pay.
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

Are you crazy?! Patches would be like gold dust - you'd easily be able to swap it for squiggles
  • Maximouse. Thank you for all the lovely posts keeping us all updated. You have been fabby.

I also agree with everything you say about Hooray for Toys and there team. They have surpassed all of the other websites that I have heard about on here recently.

Carol certainly deserves a BIG glass of vino and I hope she enjoys Anton!!!

I totally agree - and along with Hooray you have also helped make alot of people happy this weekend Maxi. It is lovely to see so many people finally get the all important house - as least once that has been bought the accessories can be added later - but they are no good without the house!!!

    Well done and thanks
