I know you are all cross with Charcter, but I was lucky enough to order Pipsqueak yesterday and now have his consignment number and he is on route to the CityLink depot!!!

Well, yet again, I am vowing to NOT buy any more hamster related products!!!!! After 3 weeks relentless searching (just like all of you) I have Chunk, Mr Squiggles (aquired rather soggily from TRU Tunbridge Wells this morning as the doors opened (TRU Tunbridge Wells will have more stock on the shelves at opening tomorrow and Sunday)), Num Nums, Pipsqueak on the way, Play House, and the Orange, Green and Pink carriers!!! Could not get any beds or the ball . DD's birthday is 9th Feb, so if she has not tossed them aside for a FurReal by then, I shall be on the hunt again after Christmas!

or you could always get some stuff and try making them yourself. as long as it's cosy looking, the kids will love it cos it will keep your hammy dry! lol

Shhh - don't tell DD - she thinks she's got Patches and the Adventure Ball - bless her!

Can't wait to see her face on Christmas day when she tries putting Mr Sqiggles in it and he falls over! She'll be wanting the 'blue' ball then! :rotfl:

Well in all the TRU mess this morning, I seem to have had the money taken, (went through the visa verification thing, then crashed). But, I've had no confirmation still, and no order showing in my order history! What should I do? Ring them I guess, only to be told they're OOS and they'll give me a refund, that's if they've got any record of taking my money! So tired of this now, and still wanted a house, ball and bed.

They have taken the time to make these items and personally I'd rather pay them for their efforts than the greedy wotsits who have caused all this misery by nabbing them off the shelves with the sole purpose of selling them for mega bucks on ebay.

I think its worth noting though, that even if there were no items available from reseller sites like ebay, amazon and playtrade, that demand would still outstrip stock available. The manufacturer obviously underestimated what a hit these toys would be and just didn't have enough to meet the demands. They appear to be sold out in other countries too.

didnt relise you were in exeter funny onion did you go to toysrus this morning? i have just rung them 2night to see if they were going to have any accessories down there 2morrow as got hamsters and house this morning but the girl said she thinks it will be just hamsters, i think the porkies ive been told on the phone over the last 2 weeks its difficult to tell who is telling the truth lol

I was thinking today that the most important item is obviously the hamster and for many children that will be enough on christmas day there are other distractions throughout the day!

Having seen the imagination from the US and how they have made football stadiums etc out of cardboard/foamboard I think that a lot of the pressure to get the accessories can be eased by if you get them after christmas. The beds and carriers don't look like very good quality even the rrp so to pay more seems a bit daft.

Most children love it when you show them the glitter glue and if you get hold of a plain shoebox you coud easily sit down with your child (after christmas dinner!) and spend quality time making a hamster home. Or maybe it is something that your child could do with grandma etc to involve them on christmas day. Just a thought.

Again this is only my personal opinion.

god im getting tired of looking for the accessories for the hamsters now been searching non stop for a few weeks now , going hunting again tomorrow , i would love to just walk in to a shop and they had everthing on the shelf (ha ha i can dream carnt i ) just taking up so much of my time now did anyone get anything else from toys r us this morning apart from the hamsters ?
