One thing the lady in Toys R Us said that I didnt realise. The batteries that come in the hamsters run out really quickly as they are just demo batteries to allow you to listen to them? Just in case I would advise the purchase of a good sized pile of batteries or a crisis will happen 30 min after they unwrap on christmas day and you will spend hours searching for an open shop that sells batteries as well as cranberry sauce!!!

Just thought of a way to pay for all these hamster purchases! I'm going to hire a van and drive around xmas day selling batteries at ebay prices (only teasing) to all you hamster owners :rotfl:
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
  • I am not stressing anymore. I am sick of the stupid bloomin vermin. I have the hamsters, a car, a bed and a carrier. If I am lucky enough to get a ball I will be thrilled, but I have a life! I can't do any more...! oh my god I queued for 11 hours to get tinky winky and laa laa. I am NOT putting myself through that again for a hamster ball. Are we sure that "normal" hamster balls won't work? have they been tried? I only ask as it would be SO much easier! LOL

    Where's Maximouse today?

Wonder if she went down to her local TRU with a flask of soup and some bread rolls for fellow hamster hunters. :rotfl:

Ha, ha, never thought of that and I only live a few mins away!!! No, just had things to do away from home so am still trying to catch up with today's antics, up to page 504 at the minute. I was only 5 pages to go at one point, but pages seem to be moving on quicker than I can read LOL. Absolutely wrecked today and can't keep my eyes open - keep getting 'noddy dog syndrome' whilst trying to read thru the pages...I think the last few weeks on hamster watch, have done me in :rotfl:
:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:

just picked my hamster set up from sorting office, i have got PATCHES the hammie!!! cant believe it!! i got this set off ebay from spain, and the set consists of patches hammie, a carrier for it, the pink part of the house, a wheel, a swirly ramp, and few tunnels, cost me 60 with the postage included in that which i thought was reasonable.
and i paid on moday n it arrived today from spain royal mail service was very fast!
so if u are havin a look on ebay keep your eye out for these from spain sellers, they get hardly any bids because people are unsure about international buying, but dont be!! i'm well happy!! whooooo!!!
Very Proud owner of Patches, Chunk, Mr Squigges, Pipsqueak and Num Nums! 1 and a half Houses, slide, wheel, surfdome, skateboard, car & garage, 4 beds, and 1 carrier. :j:j

The question is...........Will i ever find a hamster ball...!!!

No apparently they have a special stabiliser in them... did Mr C turn up today?

No apparently they have a stabiliser in them so normal ones wouldn't work. Did you get Mr C today Tina?
