Is this a Glow Plug Problem?
My diesel fiesta has this week become very reluctant to start first thing in the morning. Takes a good half a dozen tries to get it going, eventually with a huge puff of smoke from the exhaust. However, later on in the day, even after being parked for a few hours, it'll start first turn no problem.
Never had any bother before wonder if it might be the glow plugs - would this be my likely problem? Are they easy (cheap) to change?
Thanks.

Sounds like it, IIRC they are reasonably cheap and changing them is similar to changing spark plugs. Have you checked for a blown fuse? Could also be a dripping injector giving you a bit too much fuel after sitting for a while.0

Sounds like the plugs to me. I've got a Pug 205 diesel that did it. The plugs cost me £25 from Halfrauds and they took me about 10 minutes to fit...and I'm as far removed from a mechanic as you can get! My local garage wanted £100 to supply and fit! Very simple job on a 205 anyway. Depends what car you have really as to where the plugs are positioned.PMA - Positive Mental Attitude

You don't say what year the car is,but I would go for the glow plugs as well.
And keep your costs down,by not buying them from Ford or Halfrauds are Chazzy Browns.
Get them from your local motor factors or small parts shop. That's my mutt in the picture above.0
