Hello one and all and thank you in advance for any advice you give
My landlord is about to install gas central heating and I am hoping someone can help me work out what the best deal for dual fuel is. I’ve been to the comparison sites but as I don’t have gas at the moment I don’t know what my bill might be!!!
Current Electric usage for everything £55 a month, economy 7, EDF, direct debit.
I do not use heating ever (and I doubt I ever will) but I do have a PC on 24/7, there are two adults living in a two bedroom flat. The gas will take over the water which is currently set to go on at night via electric. Cooking will still be electric.
Any advice, help would be gratefully received

At the moment on your Eco 7 tariff, you are paying a higher rate for your day use electricity than your suppliers Standard rate. It's important that you inform your Electricity supplier that gas heating has been installed so they move you onto a Standard Tariff.
Don't assume that Dual Fuel from a single supplier is the best deal - Mostly Dual Fuel tariffs are based on Standard tariffs with a discount for buying both fuels from the one supplier, but, there are huge variations between the prices of gas and elecricity from suppliers - choose cheap Gas from one company and cheap electricity from another, and the savings are often well in excess of the discounts for Dual Fuel.
As you know your electric consumption, my advice would be take a guess at your gas consumption - say 12,000Kw for a flat - and enter these figures into "switchwithwhich" who's site will not only show the usual list of total cost from suppliers, but also show their tariff details. You can then work through the list noting down the individual Gas & Elect. prices.
Good Luck0
