I got this card out on the 9th Dec 2003,
I cancelled the PPI in Dec 2006 so paid it for 3 years on this credit card.
Im not sure how much I paid in total, but can see on statements back in nov and dec 2006 that it was £35 each month.
Please can someone advice me on how to start this claim as I never even knew what the payment proctection thing was till someone said its not needed on the account.
Can I just write to them, or do I need the whole 3 years of proof?
Thank you to anyone who can help

Hello there.
You write to them with your reasons you have for being mis sold, tell them you had cancelled this but realise you can now reclaim on the PPI you have paid into the credit card and the interest.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full, keep at them until they resolve or until they issue you with the final response, which should also enclose details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome, post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting, and do not worry about wrting the amounts down, its handy you still have hold of these, in case you need to refer to them later on.
For more info on reclaiming, check on Martin's link, with a checklist of mis selling reasons and template letters, you can use the templates if you want to or as a guide with your own words.

Good luck, please ask for further help if required and let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thank you so much, I will try and tackle one of those template letters tonight after my 3 children are in bed, Will be so much easier. Thank you for the link

Even if its just a small amount, I know I wont get cash as it will go onto the credit card outstanding balance but it all helps
Im sure i will be back with more questions

I have a similar situation as the poster above.
I have just recently ended a loan agreement with the Clydesdale Bank and even though it was a small loan of £2000 pounds over a period of two years my final statement came in when my loan was cleared showing that I paid over £300 in PPI.
I do however remember my phone call during the application process for my loan and I remember it being mentioned and I was asked, 'Would that be something you are interested in?' although at the time I didn't fully understand the product.
I suppose its all about wording but can I possibly still claim that back? I know its only a small amount in comparison to what other people have claimed but I would still like the chance.
Is it worth me going for it?
Kind Regards

Hi Spike and welcome
I would certainly check for further details on this, but if this was sold over the last recent years, say from 2005 onwards, its "possible" they may still hold details of the phone conversation which may help your case.
