Nearer the time the OP might want to consider registering with TripAdvisor and take a look at the Rome forum for more recent posts giving advice and tips covering just about everything you need to know for a trip to Rome. There are Rome experts on the forum who can advise of any possible changes which have happened between now and say end of Feb/beginning of March when the OP is travelling e.g opening times, cost of fares etc.
I'm going on a 4 day trip (my first) in 10 days' time and have found the advice on MSE and TA very helpful.fitzroy0
