Website hosting for a school

I'm setting up a school website from scratch for the school where I am a governor and although I have the site almost complete I need to sort out hosting.
I've already decided that we'll be going with 123-reg for buying the domain name, but I was just wondering if there were any other hosting companies who would be suitable for the site? It needs to be really really cheap (123-reg is working out at about £20 per year, plus £10 one off fee) or is 123-reg the cheapest I'm going to get without adverts?
Please keep any replies as simple as possible as I need to explain things to the rest of the governing body, and although I do design of sites without many problems, just about everything else I would find difficult to explain to the rest of the board
It's kind of intimidating when your sitting there infront of your old class/head teacher and people who are much older and experienced than you even as a governor/parent
Thanks very very much in advance. All help would be greatly appreciated!

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Hi
You could try easyhosting I know they host a lot of sites for education.
They start at £12 per year including databases and email and I am sure if you contact them they would offer it free with a small logo added to your site.

You can get free hosting with very very minimal ads at https://www.jamroll.co.uk
They have been very very good especially as they are free.
To see a sample of the ads you get try my Dad's webpage at https://www.simplyscenery.com and scroll to the bottom of the page - 4 tiny tiny Google links only.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0
