Do Ebay make a profit from refunding FVFs?

Sorry if this has been posted before, and sorry if I am missing something obvious on my ebay, but I would like to know if this is the same for everyone.
Whenever I have a non-paying bidder and issue a strike against them, I get the final value fees returned to me, but they always seem to be missing a penny.
Maybe there is some sneaky rounding up and down going on somewhere that means the FVF and refunded FVF aren't the same. If this were true Ebay must make a fortune just from all the pennies they are making each day from this.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks

I noticed that a while ago, I have no idea why they do it but I'm sure that the penny gets added back to your account? know whta you mean though, might not sound a lot but they're worldwide! Imagine how much they could be reeling in every second..0

I've noticed that and also when i list various things over 99p in one sitting (6 or 7 listings) I notice that my balance goes up by 11p at times not the advertised 10p costing. Dont know why, should ask I suppose as those 1p's add up

As far as I know the figures on the invoices are rounded up or down, so if its 12.64p it will show as 13p, if its 12.3p it will show as 12p, but they are added up with all the decimals in place. So if it was 12.3p + 12.3p it would add up to 24.6p but show as 12p + 12p = 25p.Sorry if this has been posted before, and sorry if I am missing something obvious on my ebay, but I would like to know if this is the same for everyone.

Its the same as using a spreadsheet when you can show to as many decimal places as you like..0
