Citreon berlingo or similar

Hi

I'm looking to change my C1 for something more practical (2 children, 2 dogs, 1 OH - never all in the car at the same time!)

I'm looking at Citroen Berlingos or peugeot partners or similar, anyone have any suggestions or opinions on which one to go for?

Renault Kangoo is another in that category, or the new Skoda Yeti. Some of these vehicles are sold with tiny engines, make sure you get a test drive and try to get up to 70 on a motorway slip-road. Otherwise, look for second-hand mini-MPVs.
  • Thanks, I'm looking at 2nd hand and have up to £7,000 to spend.

The Skoda Yeti is more upmarket than the Kangoo, Berlingo or Partner. The Skoda equivalenr is the Roomster.

If you're after that sort of car I think the Berlingo is the market leader.

Ah yes the Roomster. Looks like a cut'n'shut. Thought that the Yeti had replaced it. Roomster has some seriously underpowered engines.

I'd go for a second hand Volvo - great room for the dogs, nice and safe, and the better ones can convert to having 2 extra seats in the back if you're taxiing the kids friends around too.

Volvo's are good and quite reasonable to buy. Beware the older ones drink fuel though, but you're budget will probably allow you to get a newer diesel which won't be a problem.
