yes, you can purchase a satnav kit that contains everything you need, i.e. software and the gps reciever. One of the best places to look for information on SatNav is https://www.pocketgpsworld.com as they have loads of useful reviews and a good set of forums.

Having said that, you can't go too far wrong with TomTom Click Here for £200 although you WILL be able to find it cheaper.

I got a satnav receiver from ebay for £35 which connects to my xda, I know you can get them for hp's its just the connector, software is tomtom as described above, again ebay has copies for sale cheaper but how legit they are I'd say you can usually be guided by the price, ie if the retail is £ 200 and they want £ 20 ????

I recommend tomtom, very user friendly. Just load the software onto the PDA and bluetooth to the GPS module then you're off!
  • although TomTom is great in use, I have had a few problems uploading any Tom Tom software via active sync to my HP2210. It normally takes me 8-10 goes before uploading. I guess after 10 attempts it gives up the ghost and lets me do it.

If you dont use the PDA, sell it on ebay. (you should get a good price)
Then buy a system sucha s the recommendation of Tom Tom from Omertrons site - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com.

PDA's and Sat Nav can be tricky and diff to instal, but a whole kit is simple.
