Tax rebate letter?

Just recieved a latter saying thank you for sending in your p60s etc I am now returning them to you. Nothing about what happens next with my refund? Is this letter normal? Tried calling but must be really busy as cant get through. Thanks :beer:

  • Same thing happened to my mothers claim. She got the cheque and calculation a week or two later. It's possible (and likely) the assessment has been done and is going through quality and security checks before it is issued. As they have no further use for your P60's they sent them back and because they don't need any quality or security checks they have arrived first.

    Keep calling, you will get through eventually. I find the best time to call is early in the morning at around 8ish.

    Thank you! First time Iv claimed back tax so wasnt sure what the procedure was! Last time I called about a month ago got told they had gotten them all ok and was awaiting them getting inputted onto their system.
    Fingers crossed I get another letter soon!

    Somewhat related query - I've been PAYE for nearly 10 years. Is it worth asking for a refund?

    Looked in my diary to see when I sent my P60s off, 20th August! So 2 months that took for mine to come through! :D

    a p60 will be returned when your repayment letter/ form is processed. like an earlier poster said the resulting repayment will the be subject to quality and security checks. thats why you would normally recieve a p60 back well before a repayment.
