Still not feeling too great but on a positive note will have achieved two no spend days in a row!
Had a moment where I thought I was going to have to brave the outside worl this afternoon for birthday present for Nan, who I'm seeing tomorrow, only to remember the big fat box of goodies that is hiding behind my wardrobe waiting for christmas! Theres plenty to be had in there, so present for Nan CHECK!
Other than that not much to report I'm afraid troops. Am going to lounge for day, do moderate housework in the hope of keeping nasty evil germs at bay!
Then will make some sort of plan as to what I want to achieve in the next week, will most likely post so y'all can kick my a** if I dont do any of it!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
hello
I can see so much of myself in what you are saying.
Sorry i havent read through all of the replies, but with regards to the payment protection, just give them a call i done this with all my credit cards and store cards, they blubbler on about how its so important to have payment protection etc etc but just stick to your guns and decline it.
so a simple phone call should cancel the PP.
Best of luck with it all and keep posting!Abbey Loan £6,000
Tesco loan £3,000
Tesco points --- £100 worth £400 in deals for holiday! :j :T

Thanks Sparkle, it's always nice to know you're not the only person whose made certain "wrong" choices with the finances.
I think I'll go through and double check which accounts I've got PPI on and send through a letter, especially for MBNA as I can never get anyone who speaks any English on the phone!
Thanks for the advice, I need a good kick up the bum!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
woohoo!!!!!
Super determined me!
I've written up my letter requesting cancelling the PPI on three cards I've got, one credit card and two store cards!
I've also written up my big fat complaint letter to Orange, given the fact that they tried to take a direct debit from my account when the balance was nil, send me over overdraft and the direct debit being returned, and therefore two bank charges!
I've asked for all correspondence in writing, which I think is fair and given them 14 days to respond. I'm hoping they'll be nice enough to credit my account, or even better send me a cheque to cover those costs, since it was all their fault. We'll see where that gets me!
I feel super duper proud of myself on that, and technically I'm off work sick but as the day goes on my stomach isnt in as many knots and I've managed to eat and keep it all in.Keeping up the fluid intake as well. So far think I've done 1.5l of water!
3 weeks until payday and only two more payments to be made, one to cc number 1 and one standing order to store card. Direct debits so just waiting for the date to pass.
On top of that have been doing a bit of housework inbetween lying on the sofa and feeling green..........
Have done one load of laundry
Have swept and mopped kitchen floor
Have hoovered hallway
Cleaned kitcehn sides
Cleaned kitchen bin (may explain current "green-ness"!) wasnt too sure where smell was coming from till inspected!
OOOOOOh and I've watered all my plants and herb pots!
Fed and watered rabbit and fish (fish technically already watered but you catch my drift)
10 mins of aerobics, didnt want to push my luck!
Made lunch, ate lunch, kept lunch in!
So I'm pretty proud of myself, and have done it all without spending a penny!
Am now off to try and find some online advice about coping with stress, fancy learning about meditation.........Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I can't believe you've done so much when you're ill! Glad you didn't go into work though, not much worse than working when you're sick
Just out of interest, you didn't go to Chopsticks did you? I went there last year after everyone raved about it and was horrendously ill for a couple of days  Took me ages before I was brave enough to have a chinese again!DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Cafe De China
Avoid at all costs, well the egg fried rice anyway.
I'm feeling a lot better now, but I was sure if I'd have gone in today it would have dragged on longer.
To be honest I haven't well within myself in ages so I'm gonna look to booking a week off work soon, just for some me timeWealth is not measured by currency0 -
so heres my post for the weekly goals. I'm hoping I can achieve all this, I've really got no excuses and I really do need to start getting myself a lot more focused
OK my turn.........
I didnt post any goals last week simply because I was really lazy! So bck on track now...........
*Budget £25 for the week to include all spends inc food
*Lunch to work every day
*Buy more fresh veg today and eat healthier this week, after being not very well
*Send off letters to cc and store cards to cancel PPI on three accounts
*Check online banking daily for balances
*Take all cards out of purse
*Collect change for dinner last thursday from work colleague
*Scrimp and save to hearts content
*Aim for 2 no spends at least
Then add on to that plenty of household cleaning to avoid picking up any more nasty bugs, or to avoid adding to the ones I've already got............ ooooooo and job hunt too!Wealth is not measured by currency0
