Campaign to cut the cost of service charges

I recently bought some tickets for shows at 2 different venues in Manchester. The Bridgewater Hall charged me a flat, once-only, rate of £1.50 while the MEN charged a whopping £5.65 per ticket! And, to add insult to injury, I had to print off the MEN tickets myself using my power and my ink. How can a venue justify what I consider to be such excessive charges when the customer is doing everything her/himself? What can we do about it?
