Sammy, if you see this, was Boy in the Striped Pyjamas good? I read the book but wasn't too impressed, mainly because I've read so much about that subject that I just kept picking holes in it. It was good as an introduction to the subject for kids though.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

It was good, very well done. hard to watch through the eyes of a child...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I've got it sky+ed, I'll watch it over the weekend I think.
Did anyone else forget about the downtime and try to log on or was it just me? Not that I'm addicted or anything...
Well, I've drunk nearly the whole bottom of vile wine and it's just given me a headache, don't feel at all tipsy. I know it takes a lot to make me drunk, but I'm a bit disappointed.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
I watched striped pjs with DD2. She was devastated at the end.0

The end's bad, but the situation would never have arisen - at his age the kid would have been in the Hitler Youth (or the younger version, can't remember the name) would have hated Jews and the friendship would never have happened. I've read too many university level books about the subject to be able to read it without picking holes in it, unfortunately. However, I'm not the intended audience, and if you look at it from that angle then it's a very important book/film, which introduces kids to a very important and serious subject in a way that would be meaningful and accessible to them.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

I thought the Boy in Striped Pj's was excellect as a film for children.
