Some advice on writing to someone in the forces?

Falklands currently is in their summer time but it can still be cold. They have a good Naafi that is well stocked with most things they need, there is also another local shop that they can get most foodstuffs etc at. Maybe up to date magazines(these can take a while sometimes to arrive) or local newspapers - or maybe a latest release DVD - TV comedy series type can be good. The other is to try the "Old style" sweets from some where like "A Quarter of" does some of the good 1970's/80's type stuff like black jacks.
If writing to troops overseas please remember that the mail can take a long time to get in and out using BFPO so if you are sending foodstuffs make sure it has a long sell by date and chocolate will probably melt. Haribo type sweeties are better. Don't feel offended if you don't hear anything for a while as I said the post can take a while to get in and out!
Hope that helps.0
