argos return

hi just need a small bit of advice. we bought a wooden computer desk from argos today. just opened it and some of the corners are bashed in, one with some veneer missing. we dont really want a replacement or a credit note just a refund. what do you think our chances are. i'd prob rather have a replacement than credit note but if its faulty too its a lot of going back and forth?
let he without sin cast the first stone

You shouldn't have any problem getting a refund if you've got the receipt or proof of payment. They're pretty good with the 16 day money back thing if you just change your mind, so with faulty goods I can't see there being any difficulty. Give them a ring to check if you're not sure about hoiking things back and fore.

  • Argos are one of the better stores when it comes to returns. They do take a couple of days to refund to a credit card, but I have never had any problems returning faulty or unsuitable items for a refund.

I sometimes feel I'm being given the 3rd degree when I return something not suitable but if it's damaged or breaks within 12 months I've had no trouble with a refund whatsoever.
