Exactly, I know there are different views on this one and i am sure the OP will appreciate these too. The rules for PPI are now that they can offer the PPI within 7 days of the loan and that is thought of as OK and this was two weeks later.I see what you mean marshallka - the hard sell claim is usually when people have been given the impression that they won't get the loan without the PPi but if the loan had already been approved & paid out then this would be hard to prove0 -

I've just checked over my docs. It seems that it was actually GAP insurance. the premium was only £250, and it was to be split over 12 months at £20.83
My loan was supposed to be 150.53 a month. This GAP insurance got added to the premium. I was being charged £172 a month (the maths doesn't add up, I know ??)
So, why do my statements show that I was paying £172 every single month up until I settled the loan? Surely the £172 should have reduced after 12 months?0 -
I wouldn't really know with GAP insurance? And especially as it was not added at the time of your loan? Perhaps others will post back on this.Sorry to confuse.
