Not convinced by damage caused in accident

  • had a similar incident, cost £250 in local body shop - plastic welded the broken clips on the bumper and a respray. However as mentioned i'd let it go thru the insurance, it can turn in to a nightmare otherwise.
  • Thanks Rallydriver. Fortunately I did take a couple of photos of his car, and the ends of the bumper which he claimed had come loose from the collision (looks more like wear and tear to be honest).

    Bumpers do not tend to become loose through wear and tear - why would they?

    Bumpers are often designed to fall off when impacted. This way the bumper takes the damage and the car itself is protected from any damage (by the bumper pulling the car to bits).
