daughter staying at school................

my daughter went into the 6th form last year and began doing an I.B, but, as the course isnt being run right she has decided to start allover again with 6th form from the new term in september, as the school isnt doing I.B - they are going back to A levels - hence, this means she will be staying on at school for an extra year.....will she get e.m.a for all that time or will she have to get a job?

not sure, but you could try:
- your LEA website/offices, see if theres any help there, or ring them if the website doesnt say
- the school - the 6th form office may have info about this, seeing as how it could be interpreted as being their 'mistake' for doing IB and there will most likely be other students as well as your daughter in the same position asking the same sort of questions.
- if the 6th form office doesnt know, try the finance people in the main school office (assuming 6th form is attached to a school) because they will probably know a lot of in/outs of finance available
- other students at the 6th form may have found out / know where you can find info

thanks holster - i will look into all that today.....ist annoying how they started this project without really thinking it through - they just didnt have the right staff to do it and my daughter and other students are the ones who will lose out.....
