Waste of sandwiches

  • Slightly off-topic, but this thread reminds me of my childhood. The rest of the year we had oblong sandwiches, but at Xmas if we were having people round mum would cut the sandwiches into triangles, so for us triangular sandwiches were always "Xmas-shaped".

am a bit puzzled here - do the sandwiches HAVE to be shaped? also in my experience kids dont go for sandwiches much.........may be wrong here - perhaps yours do. would just make ordinary sarnies cut them into fingers and either paint 'nails' with red food colouring (finger sandwiches) and/or decorate the plates or put bat wings etc on kebab sticks poking up out of them!

Instead of doing shaped sandwiches why not just cut them normally and get the kids to make little 'flags' with cocktail sticks and paper?
Get them to draw halloween pictures on the flags and stick them into the top of the sandwiches

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
