Hi All,

I'm seriously thinking about reclaiming PPI on my credit card but need a little help please.

I applied for a Paypal credit card via the Paypal website a few years ago, but i can't remember when exactly i applied, the payments were initially to G E Capital Bank PLC but has sinced changed to Santander cards, i assume the company was sold or taken over.. so i'm not sure if i need to reclaim from both, or whether just asking for a refund on the current cards PPI premiums will cover my whole period of having the card (if that made sense?)

As i applied online i never actually spoke to anyone, i just filled in the form and a card was sent in the post. I can't remember filling out anything about PPI but i can't be sure if thats just my memory over the years or whether it wasn't on the form. Because i don't know when the card was taken out i can't figure out if i was employed or not at the time.

My limit is £2000 (which i'm at) and i pay around £30 a month in PPI. Can anyone help me please as i'm not sure where to start!

Thankyou!

    Hello there.;)

It may be a good start maybe to request a Subject Access Request (SAR) where they send everything they still hold on you going back as far as 6 years, you may still receive data even going back earlier.
They have 40 days to comply, and you must enclose a £10 cheque or postal order payment for this request.
Suggest as well to post by recorded delivery - for your proof of posting.
There is a letter template for the SAR on this link here:

Then for more on reclaiming check the link below, with further info and templates, you actually write to the ones who arranged and sold you the finance.

Give us a yell if you require help on this when your ready, good luck.;)

  • can i claim for the ppi insurance on my credit cards and also the charges for late payments on the same card??? if so, would it be two separate claims?
