cheapest motoring 6/7 seater

Anyone know how I can find the cheapest running costs on a 6/7 seater. I have to ferry 4 grandchildren and partner around . I have a Toyota Lucida at the moment which is spacious and heavenly - but expensive on diesel etc. Are there any websites that can give advice- or lists tax, insurance ratings and fuel consumption. As above, Parkers is an excellent site for this sort of thing.

Unlike others, it will also tell you about the future tax liability of each vehicle when the VED bands are redefined.

There's always the Ford Galaxy, Seat Alhambra, Volkswagen Sharan's (all same car with different logos).

If you were a bit bonkers and ferried more people around you could look at getting a small second hand mini bus. Would be very cool IMO as not normally the sort of thing people think to buy these days. They will be as fuel hungry or more than your current vehicle though.
