avg download problem

my automatic downloads always stop halfway through downloading or very near to the end of downloading, i get the message that - the server name cannot be converted to the IP address.
i have got 4 green ticks on my zone alarm for avg updates and although i did have spybot, i uninstalled it because i thought that might be causing the problem.
but that did not work , so i will reinstall it.
any ideas?

I would try manual update for now

i had this before on me mums computer, it was really slow to download updates or it stopped 3/4 of the way through. Think its the connection that u have with the servercos with my mums it sorted itself out 3 days later
