hiyaTher terms of the OEM licence contain terms that need to be met in order for the installation to be licenced correctly. Joe Public cannot meet these terms, therefore they will have an unlicensed installation of the software. There's the common misconception regarding OEM software that it simply has to be purchased with some kind of hardware but that is not correct.
ta for ya post but i don't know what any of that means pc world wanted £70.00 for an xp plus whatever it costs ti install it.0 -

Vista Home Basic doesn't cover XP installation so you would have to buy a new copy of XP.0 -

That sounds much too expensive for outdated software. Windows 7 was available for <£50! It's a doddle to install yourself.0
