Cis ob insurance

Can someone please help me?
My partner had a direct debit coming out of his bank every month for CIS OB INSURANCE. It is only £5 a month and he said he used to pay more.
It looks like it is some form of reducing life insurance from the co-op.

However, we have no paperwork at all about this insurance. We called the co-op to find out what it is, and if we are due any money but since we couldn't give much more detail other than it comes out of our bank they couldn't help.

What should we do? Should we cancel the payment (only £5 a month which we don't miss) or is there some way we can find out what this is?

Thanks

OB means ordinary branch. That would suggest its "modern" business and probably something like a term assurance (without value). Industrial branch (IB) is where most of the old door to door insurance used to be done and £5 endowments were common on those.

You need to supply CIS with your names, addresses (past and present), dates of birth and they can do a search that way.
