Go Lordi, Go Lordi
Thanks to a ten pound bet last thursday I withdrew a hundred and 50 pounds this morning, on my one and probably only bet ever.
I enjoyed the performance (wll lordi's) but i thought the rest were garbage, and being a guitar player with my own diy band im tempted to enter next year
I mean come on, our entry was rubbish!
This also follows a good week of selling on ebay so i should have an extra 250 quid in the bank that i didnt account for.
However that makes up for me going overbudget on going out, but then again ive made savings on sandwiches
What a weird month!, Roll on pay day

The smart money was definitely on Lordi last night, so well done Kevicho for cleaning up!
It was almost worth sitting through three hours of garbage for those three minutes of pure Eurovision gold.
If I promise to wear a latex mask, can I join you in Finland next year? :rotfl::eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
To be honest i was so tempted to put a hundred on them, but then i realised a lot of the voting is partisan and most of the dumb a$$ religious groups were trying (and in cypress the suceeded) to get heir performance banned so i didnt want to risk that much
As for finland next year, my band is rubbish, were better than daz tho!0 -
Well done. A bit of budgeted for little flutters can pay off, its the big stuff I dont trust myself with. Ive even given up the lottery :money: and each quid we save per week will go into our pot for premium bonds, now thats gambling I like, you get your stake back every time!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Ooh, Lynz, I wish I was that strong! The only gambling I've ever done is the lottery and I've had the same numbers since the beginning. It's one thing I won't give up though - because I KNOW that the week I don't do it is the week my numbers will come up.
Stupid, I know, but I think I can (almost) justify two quid a week. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
104 a year. You could put that in Premium bonds, at least youd get your money back.
Ive won a tenner on lottery sats & wednesdays since it started. OH buys them as well and once won a tenner. Serious waste of money. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I hardly ever play the lottery but when I do I only spend a quid. No more. A quid buys a dream and that's ok in my book.
You'd blow more than that if you bought two fizzy cans of drink at work but no-one really bats an eyelid at that....and you're helping your teeth to rot in the process!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Ha well I gave up those too, LA!
I was so into diet coke that I worked it out that i was spending somewhere in the region of 750 a year on a conservative estimate on diet coke alone  Of course, I wont be giving up my lemonade for the havana club- when I can afford to buy some lol:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? I've been moderately lucky, I suppose. Few tenners, couple of 4 number wins and £2k a few years back. It's only a matter of time and as I don't drink fizzy drinks, that's my "coke" money! :rotfl::eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
If you drove from London to Bristol, and noted how many centimetres were on that journey, if you picked Just one of those centimetres, that would represent your chance of winning the lottery. having said that I know personally in this area, two lottery winners, one £450,000 and the other £2.6 milllion. I also know a woman who won £138,000 on the football pools and she also won £2000 on the lottery. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

True, tes, but I'm not going to beat myself up over a couple of quid a week. I've already given up buses to work, shop-bought lunches, fancy brands at the supermarket, smoking and buying a book a week! It's my weekly dose of insanity and I'm sticking with it! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
