My 0% barclay card is coming to an end I still owe on it, Iam going to transfer the amount to another 0% card, when I do,do I have to tell barclays and cancell the card even if theres nothing on it?.I know it sounds daft but arnt credit card companies bothered when this happens when Ive spent nothing on this card apart from just the transfer. Thanks Paul

Yes. The account will be left open. If you want to close it you have to ring them up and ask.
As for them being bothered. They still made a little bit of money out of you with the transfer fee and getting their money back from the new transfer so I doubt they'll lose sleep over it.0 -
there's no need to tell barcalycard anything and there's no reason to cancel it.
at the current time lenders are cancelling cards that aren't being used but that's usually over a 6 month or year timescale.
if you want to keep the card then its best to use it regularly for something you anyway buy (say petrol) and pay in full each month (preferrably by DD).EU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%
