ds light worth selling online?

I want to sell my ds light with unofficial charger. Im not sure if its worth putting on ebay or whatever as 1 I have never sold on ebay and 2 its not the new cool dsi. Might I be better off just posting a add in my local shop im not looking to get a lot for it but if I sell on ebay they take fees and then so do pay pal. If not ebay where?

I would do a completed item search, see how much others have sold for in the same condition, if your happy with it, give it a go.

As the mother to a 5 year old and a DS widow I would say Ebay is the perfect place to sell a DS. I would start it at the lowest value you are happy to accept so that you will be happy with what you get, and I agree with the previous poster, they are averaging about £70 so you can't really go wrong. I bought my sons ds 2nd hand on ebay. The things i looked for when choosing was a good clear picture and description. I wanted to know if it had any scratches on outside or on screen. I saw scratched ones still selling well so there is a market for even non perfect ones. Is there an original box or not. How well the seller was intending to pack the item. How old the ds was and how much use it had had etc. I wanted it to arrive in good time tracked for the price i knew i would pay.

Think about the title carefully use popular words if you look at other ds and the ones with most bids is a good idea. Put the colour in the title as well. I hope this helps.

Make sure you set your seller preferences really tight. I would not sell abroad either. If you are a new seller selling goods like this you are likely to be contacted by scammers wanting you to send to there cousin etc. Ignore them. Only send to the Paypal address so you are fully covered by Seller protection.

Make sure you send it by Special delivery (so it is fully tracked and insured)

As a new seller on items like this Paypal will hold your funds and tell you it is safe to send (which it is) Your funds are released in 21 days or when positive feedback received. This was brought in when paypal increased seller and buyer protection.
