  • Has anyone seen any good cheap slim trees? we got a lovely 'slim' one in the Argos sale 4 years ago but it's still a bit chunky around the bottom for our small living room.

    1.8m/6ft canadian pine tree - £19.99

We have just had our tree delivered from Argos and it cost us less than £20.
I can't do links so if somebody could quickly copy and paste link from Argos site then it might help a few of you that are looking for a bargain.

We have taken it out of the box and put it up to make sure everything is as ordered and it looks really good.

You can also dig one of the argos discout codes for a %off.

Very disappointed the tree from half cost came with the wrong base and mega gaps in it needless to say its going back, and I don't much care for their customer service  asked it they would send a replacement while picking this one up and got told oh no we can't do that unless you buy another one
    Sorry rant over :o

Hi All, I know this is a thread about "cheap" trees, and this is slightly off topic, but this is just a word of warning to stop anyone wasting money like we did last year...

We bought this white 6ft pre lit LED tree from Argos for £75 last year.
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2696577/Trail/searchtext%3ETREE.htm

All lit up and on display in the shop it looked absolutely stunning and was well over our budget but we loved it.

However, once lit up in our lounge it's so bl**dy bright you need shades!, and we had the neighbours over the road taking the mickey and asking we were having a disco.

We couldn't return it because we had put it up and fully decorated it before we tried the lights, and also my kids loved it. :o

So... my hubby and I are stuck with a v expensive pre lit tree, but we can't use the pre-lit bit because it's just so OTT!.

So wherever you get your tree from, please think about brightness\room size etc if it's a pre lit one.

    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D

B&M have some 4ft trees for £4.99 in black, white or green. IIRC they're 190 tips, don't know if that's good or not though
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important
