Wondered if this was of any use to anyone, only a 4ft tree though, not sure how it will compare once Asda start stocking.0

if you get a cheap fake tree you can make it look fuller by having it flat against a wall with all the branches facing out (a half tree). We used to do this for displays at a gift shop and people were always asking us where to get such full looking trees - and it saves space too0

my local poundstretcher / instore shop had trees half price - picked up a 7ft slim green tree for £15 instead of £30. They also had white trees, and some normal ones! They even had a table top 3ft tree for £3 in white or green. I have to say the trees did look a bit baldy but I'm sure once they are dressed with decs it'll be fine.To infinity and beyond - but mostly to Tesco!:D0

I would much rather have a 'proper' tree than a 'fake' one
If I can keep it alive for next year as well it will have cost me less than a tenner a year and it gets better very year as it gets bigger - that's MS to me!
i hope you can keep it alive, it can be moneysaving if you can manage it :T
i grew up with fake trees and have no issues with them, it wasn't until i was with my (now)ex husband that i discovered that i have an allergy to pine which has become consistantly worse with each passing year.
i cannot even begin to tell you how greatful i will be to NOT have to have a real tree this year. no more tight chest around it, no more itchy rash all over my hands and arms when i decorate and no more being 'bitten' by it throughout the rest of the year as you never can seem to get all the needles!
i too am in the market for a full bodied fake tree, some are really gorgeous and if you can afford to pay a little more for a higher end model they can still look good a decade down the line. saying that though the cheaper models will still look decent even after a few years and if you're like us and decorate heavily you won't notice the odd gap here and there
i've only ever found the really cheap end models to be like a charlie brown christmas tree but i've had worse in my life due to poverty including a christmas coat rack and a christmas umbrella!
i've read some excellent reviews on the argos trees so i think that's where i'll be getting mine from, still haven't decided on going for fibre optic vs without it, not a keen fan on detangling lights and this year with the ex having most of the christmas decorations i will have to stump up for it all, so it may work out cheaper to just by the prelit....
really enjoying this thread!0 -
I just partook in the netto offer, nice little tree for the price. And the decs and lights arent bad either0
