Morning everyone, todays answer is 250 (just numbers) it seems that they have extended the closing date to 31 Jan 2010 and are treating this first week as a test week but finalists from this week still have the same chance, they also seem to have got a grip on the site as it worked much better this morning, after answering the first link correctly there is a link on the congrats screen to take you to the next page with a link on it, much easier and although still some hunting around, as you would expect, its much clearer and organised, when you have completed all the links (it wasn't 20 but not sure how many) you will get the oops screen to say you have already entered by that link, one entry per link - I think its worth entering still even if you have got through to the weekly final part as if you get selected again you have another chance of getting through to the grand final, thats how I understand it anyway - hth - good luck all to all mse'rs:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Thanks glowgirl. I have changed the end date on the thread title. But I don't get this "test week" idea. Basically are they just extending the competition, then?
This site gets more and more confusing. Oh well!0 -
It is confusing, yes they do seem to of extended the comp, I just copied this from the site
However due to the teething problems of the week (that were quite numerous yesterday) resulting in some of you not being able to take advantage of your 20 options, and due to the overwhelming support from you kind folks in instantly informing us, we are officially announcing that this week will be our official test week BUT all your entries are still valid and the person selected from the weekly final (of 20 x 7 days of daily successful entrants) will still be a valid finalist so we are going to take advantage of our (as stated in the terms and conditions) right to extend the competion now by one week (we have reserved the right to do this up to 21 weeks) but we are doing this for your benefit.
Hmmm 21 weeks? Thanks for updating:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -

Also I've noticed that whatever entry route I try and use second, it always says something along the lines of 'oops, you've used this entry route already blah blah blah' when I haven't at all!
This is a VERY glitchy and complicated comp. Oh well, it's for a house so I shall persevereThanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

Just wanted to ask, is anyone else spotting a pattern in the way the "entry routes" are distributed? They seem to be distributing them evenly. I am doing it systematically by starting on page 1 and going down one side then back up the other, then moving on to do page 2, etc. So far, I've noticed there seems to be one entry on each side of each page somewhere (though not always in the same spot) but there are 8 pages, so that would only make 16 entries.
Anyone else spotted this pattern or thinks this is wrong? 2 per page, one on each side? I normally run out of patience and only end up doing about 2 or 3 pages. Anyone gone through the whole site and all the ads yet?
All this clicking is a lot of time and effort!0 -
I've been following the link when you get the congrats page, I like your idea of a system I might try that:) I agree this comp is a bit of a pain but as poodle says its for a house so I think we should all persevere too, we can moan to each other;)I wonder why not many people seem to entering this on here? Do you think they know something we don't or have I missed something?Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I would imagine it's because of the slightly ambiguous T&Cs (no guarantee of a prize) and also because it's confusing and a lot of hassle.
I nearly gave up on day one too TBH :rotfl:
I actually use a very similar sytem to chopandchange - I systematically click all of the ads on every page from left to right, top to bottom. Every time I submit an entry I go straight back to where I was when I found it and continue until I've reached the last page.
The only problem I've had is that it always tells me I've already entered on the second entry route
I'm finding this comp kind of intriguing now actually - the more ads I click the more I want to clickThanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

Yes, I am doing that, too, just going back to where I was using the "back" button on my browser. I find it much better than just going to wherever their random link takes me!
There seem to be a handful of us entering who keep posting on here so let's give each other encouragement!
If you are entering, just for fun, tell everyone what you would do with the house if you won - live in it, sell it, or rent it?
Personally I think I would sell or rent....or maybe rent for a few years and then sell it later. Due to OH's job we are always being moved around anyway and wouldn't get to live in it much.0
