How do I allow active x control ?

Junior frequently uses the Thomas Tank engine website and I presume it uses active x controls on the page because he has click each page before he can use it.
If I let the cursor hover over the page, a dialogue box appears and says "click to activate and use this control".
How can I allow the website to load and not have to click on each page first before using it ?

If you have a pop-up blocker or firewall turned on when a page requires active x control, a small bar will usually appear under the main toolbar at the top of the screen. It will say click here to install actixe x control.
That's how I do it anyway using Windows XP. If that doesn't work or your not using XP, maybe there's a download out there somewhere that you can download direct from a website??Debt at highest - £2,872!
Current Debt - £2,221

Hi,
If you are still using Internet Explorer (Blue e), open it, go to
Tools
Internet Options
Security Tab
Click on Advanced Options
Disable "Automatic Prompting for Active X"
Enable "Script Active X Controls marked safe for scripting"
Enable "run active X conrols and plug ins"
Click OK
Click Apply

Can't see any reference to this problem on the website either.

Firefox doesn't support ActiveX (it's a Microsoft feature). This is partly why Firefox is more secure than Internet Explorer. ActiveX controls have for a long time been one of the weak spots in IE (they can allow stuff to be downloaded in the background without you realising).
I see that there is a test version of an ActiveX plugin for Firefox. I couldn't comment on this though, as I've never tried it (and have no plans to).How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

The "Click to activate and use this control" prompt is a result of a recent update to Internet Explorer, as explained on http://capitalhead.com/1239.aspx. That site also has a 'fix' which you can download to prevent the prompt appearing. Alternatively, use Firefox.0
