If you've already replaced the main board once the LCD has been sorted it should be pucker.
  • Since the Comet engineer told me that he'd be able to fit the new screen in my house I thought I at least give them the chance to repair it. So they phoned yesterday and said the engineer could be around on Saturday – fine I thought, no more time off work. Then came the phone call today to say that the person who called yesterday made a mistake and that they would be coming on Saturday to take the TV away! Aaaah- lying bstrds. What am I supposed to watch at the weekend??
Called them back and spoke to a “supervisor” who claimed that they had to take it away as it was a large TV. Funny how Samsung were able to replace a part in my home I said! Still not budging on a refund as apparently I should have spoken to them directly about the initial fault which of course I didn’t do as I didn’t want them to take my new TV away.
Really there should be some law to say that if you’ve paid a significant amount for something for your home such as a TV that they shouldn’t be able to take it away within 12 months but I bet there’s nothing.
Wish I’d never bought the blooming TV, especially from Comet.

So they are planning to take away your television to repair it.
It is broken and needs repairing, doesn't it?

"What am I supposed to watch at the weekend??"

Well, if they left it there you could watch your broken tv. Doesn't sound much better than watching no tv to me.

I imagine you didn't ask them if they would leave a replacement set. You would've told us otherwise.

Have they told you how long do they expect the repair to take?
They are not allowed to inconvenience you more than is reasonable.
