Card hassles.

Hello All,
I'm hoping i can get some advice on this.

I was helping with a seller account on Amazon for a while but once i stopped i deleted my credit card details from the account (about 2 months ago) but they have still managed to put charges onto it.
I contacted them and they told what the money was paying for yet also that they can do nothing as i didn't open the account, even though it's my card being charged without consent not to mention it'd not been linked with the account for weeks.
The details weren't there for the owner of the account to use so that isn't the problem. Would this be classed as credit card skimming on Amazon's part?
Also i contacted my bank (Smile) about this. My card was due to expire and now has but in talking to them they said that it could still be charged even though it has expired, which i double checked with them twice. How does this work when the 3-digit security number changes? I figured that an expired card was dead and couldn't be used.

Thoughts and advice on this greatly received.
Thankyou.

You provided Amazon with the card details when you put them in the site the first time, so trying to accuse them of skimming is a dead end

You probably agreed when adding the card that they could use it to collect accrued fees that might only have become chargeable after you took the details off

You say you've been told what the charges are for - do they relate to transactions made while you were managing the account?

    Hello,
    Thanks for the response.
The card was added to buy vouchers so i didn't have to use someone else's. I never agreed that they could charge my card other than what i actually bought.
The charges relate to refunds that Amazon gave and then charged the account for, they were/are nothing to do with me. They would be from somewhere in the two months when i stopped being involved with the account to when they suspended the account and charged me instead of the owner of the account.
I'm having no luck from Amazon, i have written to my bank but if they say that an expired card can still be charged i may keep a couple more letters in reserve ready to send off again!!
