Tefal FV9250 Iron

Options
My old iron started to leak, hence thought new iron.

Searched around for the FV9250, and found prices ranged from £75-£80.00.

Went onto Comet site and saw £59.99 online price, but £6.95 postage.

Went into my local currys armed with the printout of the above price of Comet, and they honored Comets online price with "Price Match".

Currys price was £75.00. So I saved nearly £20.00 in total including postage.

I personally didn't know that Currys price matched online prices, but it is worth taking in proof, otherwise they don't honor it.

My husband did much the same when we bought our car. It took a bit of bartering but saved a good couple of thousand on the deal. Sorted!!!

We had a Tefal that blew up - I called Tefal helpline and they offered 3 options, 2 being something to do with inspection and repair with who picks up the bill depending on the findings of the engineer.

The third option ended up being something like 60% of the list price of a new Iron or steam generator.

This did then come in lower than any of the on-line prices I found.

I was impressed with the customer service from Tefal on this occasion.

If you have a Tesco near you it may be worth looking at some of their electricals. It's not the same model but last Saturday i went into my Tesco (Reading extra) and they had set up a stall at the front of the stall and the manager was offering cut price (they might have been ex display but mine was still in plastic and everything?_ anyway the manager asked me if i wanted one (Should have been £38) for £10 - i hesistated and then they asked me if i wanted it for £8 - not bad.
I know it's not the same model, but if you have a Tesco near you it may be worth while looking around the electrical department. They may have a better model there for you.
    Good luck.
