PPI and IVAs

Hi,

Just been looking at my accounts etc. whilst getting ready to send paper work off and realised that I have not done the PPI re-claim (had on average £2000 to £6000 on credit card for about 10 years, with the occasional 4 or 5 months up at £8000 plus)

This must add up to a fair amount with interest etc. So I am thinking that this may be a way to help out with the IVA. I hope that it would clear the MBNA card which has just been ramped up to a stupid APR and has been the final straw.....

How quickly do PPI claims go through ? I have not signed anything yet so still have time to back out if the PPI claim back is sufficient

cheers

Ed

Reclaiming PPI seems to be a lengthy enough process as the banks play silly !!!!!!s over the whole thing - it's hard to pin them down. They'll send you a few "goaway" letters first denying any responsibility, They'll tell you they've looked into your case and found that it does comply with regulations so you've no claim. They'll tell you it's someone elses' fault (broker), they'll tell you all sorts! You just have to keep plugging away and not take "no" for an answer!
Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
