Are Triton Mixer showers any good?

Evening all

I've purchased a triton polaris mixer shower for my bathroom, its all chrome and cost me £60 from homebase (reduced from £90 as its a previous model)

I went to a bathroom showroom today and the salesman said that they'd stopped selling Tritons as apparently they are rubbish! Instead he said I should buy a Mira. I would have preferred Mira I suppose but at £200+ they are out of my price league.

Was he right about Triton not being any good? Its a basic shower but it looks like it should do the job, it has a five year warranty too!

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Triton are generally bottom end cheap rubbish

Get a Mira fitted profesionally and it will last 5+ Years

Buy cheap buy twice, Mira sports are proven to perform and last

We really like our Triton which we have now had for four years without any problems. Our plumber who fitted it said that he fits them a lot and never has any problems.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

We have an "Aqualisa" Aquastream and we can't fault it.

Generally speaking you get wnay you pay for..

I'm reliably informed their aftersales care is 2nd to none too..

Oh dear, mixed opinions! So.....should I keep this or take it back for a Mira instead? I've seen a Mira Element Biv on ebay for £150 which looks pretty good!
