these would be new from qvc direct...normally the stuff at birchwood are customer returns but have been checked , have a 30 day money back guarantee and a years warranty. never had a problem with my dealings with them..top place ( you can go though and find nothing worth buying on occasion )

Here is the link for the JVC at QVC

which they are selling for £487.00, so you are saving a great deal of money when you consider it is £199.99 at Birchwood.

Mine is working fab, and you don't need an analogue signal, mine is working via Sky, and there is an attachment (an eye type connection) aswell put in.

Birchwood is near Warrington via M62.

Glad my original post was of use.

When did you purchase? and did they have many in the birchwood shop?

I bet they havnt got any now - lol

And as for the digital argument above, the switch-off will make NO difference to anybody with one of these (or any of the other units). If you want to record 2 dif channels now or then, then you will need a twin tuner.

    Anyone bought one of these??
think mine might have a problem..everytime i press any button on my remote the unit makes a whirring type noise(sounds very similar to hard drive seeking sound) its not very loud but quite annoying especially when your going through the tv guide shechdule.
    any feedback appreciated. thanks
