    bye!

I won a holiday auction last year. I was dubious about it at first as I got a stonking deal on a cruise. It was exactly as described in the brochure and many onboard were shocked that we'd paid a quarter of what they did. I'd certainly do it again. I suppose there is a certain element of luck in 'un-named accomodation' auctions though. We also done a flight only lot, and apart from beating a flurry of late bids - it was just like booking any other flight on the internet - except a bit more exciting!

There are some Terms & Conditions to bear in mind though (http://pics1.edeal.com/images/p2/wl/tui/tui_term_condit.html) and add a booking fee of £20 per person. They will also try to sell you insurance/ flight meals etc, but I'd certainly make my own arrangements.

    :D

Have had several of these and each one has been good, from Canaries- £124 for two to £400 for 2 all inc to Dominican. Also just used it for the flights as it was cheaper then booking these direct (Tenerife -£220 at Christmas time as opposed to paying £470.)

we have just booked to go next week. The price you pay is the one on screen for all of you they then add £20 per ticket booking fee ie ticket for 3 add £60.We also had to pay for transfers and flight meals which we did not take as it is a night flight .They also really tried to push the pre bookable tickets which we did not take either the total cost came to £345 I priced it up on the internet and it came to over £799 so quite a big difference I love a bargain

    Hi

I just bought some flights through the auction site.

They were cheap, but when you call after being the succesful bidder, if you are not going to take out there insurance, and you are better to get it on the net, then you have to have the policy details to give them on the phone. I also got two tickets and the sales agent, when I phoned up said if you want to be guaranteed sitting together, then you have to prebook, and as I am travelling with a child, I didn't have much of option so that was an extra £18.00. Still a bargain two return flights to Croatia for £98.00.

    So go for it.

Haven't used Thomsons one but did use the My Travel one for about 3 years before they closed it down. Got some great bargains, so would assume Thomsons would be the same.

I have used them and you do get real bargains...just be carefull with bidding fever I have seen holidays go way over what they are being sold for on late deals. I have had a couple of crackers Barbados £376 2 weeks AI
Cruise 99 dotn fall for the "you have to buy everything else" line you dont and even the sit together isnt worth it just get to the airport on time but do have insurance in place before they call other wise they might not allow you to book(happened once to me with airtours)

Mihgt be a good idea to keep this thread going for bidders to check they are getting a good deal
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
