Error on Finance Agreement
Hi - I have just got a settlement figure through for a car agreement that I wanted to pay off as I want to buy another car. The only thing is, the registration on the agreement is a different car, the garage sold me a car unfit for purpose originally and changed it 3 months later but do not seem to have changed any of the finance documents - I have not signed any other agreement for the car I have - Am I liable to pay?

You get a free car!! What a result!0

Do you have the car? If yes, then pay.0
-
Really? What should I do.... Stop paying?0
-
No - I do not have the car on the agreement - the garage changed it for another.0

Some kind of split personality - not much help really.0

Well lets put it this way if you don't pay = they come round eventually to repossess the car - after all its not the car on your finance agreement is it?
Comprende!0 -
they replaced the car, the car will be registered on the hpi register which makes it not yours until paid0

You sometimes know exactly where a thread is going just by the title...
'Name misspelt - can I sue'
'Raining outside - is loan enforcable?'
'got a car, don't want to pay loan back, need support from people on MSE, can I claim?'
etc etcHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
They cant repossess a car for which NO finance agreement is in force. Do a HPi check and see what comes back
Morally you should keep paying it as there is a innocent person driving a car with finance on it.
The OP was asking for actual facts and not a judge jury and exocutioner type of answer.
At least answer the question factualy. Then berate for the immoral outcome.
