Cheltenham definitely is closing...not a lot left now though...few sleeping bags and tents, lots of XXL clothing, loads of walking boots and running shoes, lots of random odds and sods in crates to sort through. Very much a T.K. Maxx experience.

  • Hello I was wondering whether anybody knows if the Plymouth store is closing down and if so when !?! Thinking of taking a trip up but don't want to travel all the way if it's already closed!!
    Cheers
  • Slough Millets is closing next Saturday.
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.
  • We`ve a Millets and Blacks here. I thought I`d add that me and daughter bought two Berghaus items, buy one get one half price. Daughter has a Student card which gave her an additional 25% off. Also YHA members were 25% off.

Sadly blacks has always been rather expensive, as are most outdoor shops. I suspect online competition has killed them off and they thought they could still ask £160 for a jacket when the same one online is probably £80 and people have hardly any cash in their wallets anyway.

Just to think the idiot fat cats at the top will be getting a big wad of cash for failing to adapt and keep the business running too.

Didn't get as far as the Blacks shop but the Freespirit shop in Kingston had loads of bargains (O'Neill/Quiksilver/Billabong..etc) boxes full of stuff...shop was like a jumble sale though...but I did get two items for £0.00 each!!!!

Guildford Blacks closing down in about a weeks time.... bargains there as well

    Hope this helps
