Blacks closing down!!

Apparently, staff at Blacks were texted last Thursday or Friday evening telling them all they were soon to be out of a job. Blacks is closing down.

Went to my local one today and tons of stuff 50% and 75% off.

Not a mention of any problems on the website, so maybe they will continue to trade online, but as for the stores, they are going.

Maybe worth a trip to grab a xmas bargain!

There will be no shops left open soon in Sutton!

no it has not closed
both millets and blacks in sutton are still open at the moment.
last day should be 24th october.
i work for the company and know both mangers who have been with the company many years.

Thanks for the info - after reading the local free newspaper last weekend I was under the impression that both of the stores in Sutton Coldfield had already closed down!

Apparently there are 2 brand of Milletts from when the chain was bought out a few years ago by 2 different lots of people. I think the ones owned by Blacks are closing - the Redditch one is definitely on its way out with practically everything in the sale now.

The Millets in Boscombe(Bournemouth) is closing next week but they are offering a 20% voucher to be used at Blacks in Bournemouth as "the next nearest shop" so I assume it isn't closing down in the short term

Think you could have chosen your graphics a bit better mate, yes it's an opportunity to maybe get some gear at very good prices but people have lost their jobs and incomes here which is never a good thing.........

Not heard about the riverside one but the town centre one is, got myself a lovely 4 man tent was £190 down to £72 and a pair of boots was £80 down to £35

50% off all sleeping bags too.
