Anyone got a list of the Millets/Blacks shops that are closing?

The relevant bit of the company announcement (30 September) is here:

'Today the Company is announcing two further steps in its restructuring plan. First, it has begun the closure and employee consultation process on 89 loss making stores whose performance has been a considerable drag on the core outdoor business which has traded successfully over the last two years. The vast majority of the stores to be closed have not traded profitably for many years. '

Blacks has 427 'outdoor' stores (Millets/Blacks). So around 20% are going.

Delivery of empty boxes suggests stock from these will be consolidated to the remaining stores.

Looks like the discounts mentioned above are just the usual seasonal offers.

birmingham millets and blacks are safe for now.

i do have a full list of stores but dont have time to list them as there around 90
call your local store to see if it is affected.
there are closeures all over the country.
most blacks and millets have a minimum of 50% off everything.
the 50% if of the lowest marked price so if something has already been reduced it will have a further 50% off.
some examples.
quantum 500 sleeping bag down original £89.99 sold for £19.99
vango 8 berth tent £399.99 now £99.99
no TNF jackets or footwear
no berghaus jackets
all got returned
lots of bargains to be had
IF the store has any stock left.

p.s.watch out for more discount as the closeure gets nearer :money:

Manchester Fort branch is closing down. Went in there last weekend and got a black berghaus fleece for half price. Some good bargains in there if your into your camping etc but i couldnt help sorry for the staff who were discussing their upcoming job interviews / prospects for xmas :-(
