complaint after feedback left? advice please

Hi there, after a bit of advice.

I sold a dvd on ebay, I had watched it twice in very good condition, no problems with it when I watched it.

any way, got a neutral feedback saying along the lines of - very scratched, watched more than twice -. Didn't bother doing any thing as they had left feedback and didn;t contact me to ask for a refund or to sort out the problem.

Any way, they have now messaged me sayin
- dvd skips 3 times, very dissapointed with what I paid -

and that's it, not asking to sort out the problem or any thing. I was a bit annoyed as they hadn;t contacted me about the problem before leaving ;bad rep; and now send that.

What would you suggest I do, refund them, send them another copy of the dvd, (cheaper than refunding) or ignore it as they have already left feedback.

Can they change feedback once left or cause problems.

Just not sure as this has never happened to me before.

I just have a nagging feeling they are trying it on or it may have got damaged in the post, btw it was a disney dvd which are now bogof in shops so mayb they r miffed they bought a full price.

Many thanks, sorry if this is a bit rambly.

I always think that once a buyer leaves a non positive they no longer need anything from me. If buyer had approached you first then I would suggest sending a replacement on safe return of the other one, but frankly I wouldn't be bothered now.

Obviously they can still try a paypal chargeback for item not as described, but then they would have to return it at their own expense anyway.

If you're sure that the item was sent without faults, you could ask for return for a refund and if it has been damaged in post, claim from RM with COP. If it is damaged you should really refund return postage costs.

As above you could tell the buyer to go to Paypal and they will have to return at their own expense.

If you decide to refund, you can ask your buyer to revise feedback to a positive but I wouldn't rely on them doing this as their comms do not seem to be the best as they left you a neutral with no contact. (They won't be able to change this to a neg if that's what you are worried about).

They might be looking for a partial refund, but personally I would be reluctant to do this as feedback is already left and you've no guarantee they would revise this.

I suppose it depends on if the neutral is affecting your account.
